Columbia Engineering | Concept Design | Human-Centered Design & Innovation 2025
Project Summary: The Blueprint is a 28,500 sq ft collaboration floor concept designed for Columbia Engineering’s future campus. My role was to lead the visioning, strategy, and experiential design narrative for a space that redefines how physical environments support student wellness, alumni engagement, and community-building.
The Challenge: With student mental health and social isolation on the rise, traditional academic spaces fall short. The task: create a space that’s not just functional, but deeply human, where students feel ownership, alumni feel welcome, and connection happens by design.
The Solution: The Blueprint blends architecture, student programming, and digital systems into a student-owned environment. It includes open collaboration zones, wellness features like napping pods and natural light, and a digital platform that connects people virtually and physically. Alumni are invited to co-work and mentor, creating continuity across generations.
